Choices In SMS Reply Software
Posted by Jon Westfall in "SOFTWARE" @ 03:00 AM
Recently, a new type of program has come out: An automatic SMS sender. Useful for when you're away from your phone and want to let others know why you failed to answer their ultra-important phone call. 2 Programs are now available that do this, one new, one a few months old:
The first piece of software (SMS Answering Machine, link in post title) worked fairly well (it sent messages, but the UI was way to screwy) for my 6315. While I don't know if it's worth $24.95, for a limited time they're dropping the price to $21.95, so if you try it out and like it, maybe that will pursuade you to part with your currency of choice. JGUI's product, the recently upgraded Do Not Disturb , is a little less expensive ($14.95). I tried JGUI's product on my iPAQ and it worked in about 50% of the tests I did. Both these pieces of software look promising (So keep an eye on them), and with a bit more reliability (And a better UI), they'd both be fighting for a spot on my handango shopping cart.
