New Twist To An Old Favorite

When I was a kid, I always enjoyed playing Yahtzee, a dice game in which you try to form five dice into poker-like groups (small straight, four-of-a-kind, etc.). So, shortly after the first Pocket PC was launched in 2000, I bought an electronic version of the game and have kept it on each and every Pocket PC I've owned. Now there's a newer version of the game from Alert Technologies called "Triple Yachtzee."

Triple Yachtzee is much like traditional forms of the game, with one notable difference (besides the strange spelling of the name); it has many more scoring possibilities. The game allows up to eight players at a time, and you can pit yourself against human competitors or an artificial intelligence-enhanced computer opponent. As much as I like Yahtzee-like games, I may just have to grab this one.
The demo is free, and the full version is $12.99. You can grab either one from the Handango site
