HTC Titan's Graphics Lag Possibly Caused By SRS Feature

Posted by Richard Chao in "Windows Phone News" @ 12:00 AM

http://www.wpcentral.com/htc-titans...srs-enhancement

"While we consider the AT&T HTC Titan an excellent Windows Phone (here's our review) it has a quirky graphics lag or stutter at times."

When WPCentral reviewed the HTC Titan, they noticed an occasional graphics lag or stutter. While an official fix hasn't be announced, one of their readers discovered a temporary work around. Apparently, the problem may be related to the SRS Enhancer Setting. The reader stated, when he turned off the SRS Enhancement in the Sound Enchancer setting, the lag goes away.

If you have a HTC Titan and notice a graphics lag or stutter, try this fix and let us know if it makes the lag go away.

Engadget's HTC Titan Review

Posted by Richard Chao in "HTC Windows Phones" @ 09:00 PM

http://www.engadget.com/2011/10/17/...c-titan-review/

"We knew as soon as we first clapped eyes on this hulk of a phone that it'd make a brave purchase. It's not just the 4.7-inch screen that requires a leap of faith, but also the Windows Phone operating system, which is presented here in all its Mangofied glory but is still very much an early adopter's ecosystem."

The HTC Titan with it's 4.7 inch screen and f2.2 camera is considered one of the better Mango phones currently or soon to be available. Engadget recently released their review and generally came away impressed. The phone felt sturdy and the camera with mechanical auto-focus took great shots even in low light situations. If you are looking for a Windows Phone, the Titan should definitely be on your list.

Hit read for the whole review.

HTC Titan Reviewed

Posted by Nurhisham Hussein in "HTC Windows Phones" @ 11:00 AM

http://www.slashgear.com/htc-titan-...eview-12187565/

"Rarely does a gadget's name quite so well describe its nature, as is the case with the HTC Titan. A huge 4.7-inch display packed into a battleship-strong metal chassis, the TItan is an unapologetic slab of Windows Phone 7. Question is, can Mango provide sufficient sweetness to balance the Titan's brutal charms, or are HTC's big ambitions in for an equally big fall? Check out the full SlashGear review to find out."

Slashgear delivers a review of HTC's flagship Titan - 4.7" screen, 1.5GHz processor and an 8MP camera to go along with the usual bevy of sensors. WP7.5 comes standard as does HTC Hub, so as its about as up to date as you might expect. The verdict: despite the size, it's easier to handle than you'd expect and hardware's rock solid.

AT&T To Unleash The Titan, Focus S and Focus Flash

Posted by Nurhisham Hussein in "HTC Windows Phones" @ 08:00 PM

http://www.att.com/gen/press-room?p...|mobile-devices

Fresh off its European debut two weeks ago, the Titan is now coming to AT&T. This monster features a screen diagonal of 4.7" (shades of the Advantage here), a 1.5GHz processor, and 8MP autofocus camera with dual LED flash, all in a package weighing under 6oz (160gms). Cumbersome? It's your choice, though personally I love big screens. Also along for the ride are Samsung's Focus S (4.3" screen, 8MP camera, 1.3MP front camera) and the Focus Flash (3.7" screen, 5MP camera). No due date has been given except for the typically vague "this fall", though I daresay you'll see them in shops before the holiday season.

HTC Radar and HTC Titan Videos

Posted by Jason Dunn in "HTC Windows Phones" @ 11:42 AM

Some video goodness for you. The first two videos in particular look great in full screen, 1080p, with your speakers turned up. :-)

"The HTC Titan is one of the new Windows Phone 7.5 smartphones to be announced today. It features a massive, 4.7-inch display and a 1.5GHz processor. We were live at HTC's launch event in London and were able to get some quick hands-on time with the new phone."

If you are into big screen smartphones, like I am, you'll want to take note of this behemoth. HTC's new Titan, running Windows Phone 7.5 has been announced. Besides it's beautiful screen, it has some interesting features, including a wide-angle camera lens. Put your browser in full-screen mode and hit the Read link for some more pictures.

HTC Add On Apps Becomes A Part Of The OS

Posted by Richard Chao in "HTC Windows Phones" @ 10:07 PM

"One interesting observation from the new HTC Radar and Titan is that HTC have been able to move their add-on "apps" such as Sound Enhancer, custom camera options and Attentive Phone to Settings..."

The guys at WPCentral has made an interesting observation. The HTC add-on apps are now baked directly into the OS on the newly announced Radar and Titan. Not sure if this is a good thing or bad. I actually preferred it the old way. On my Focus, I could pick and choose the OEM apps I wanted on my phone. With the add-ons baked in, they are now required and harder to update.
