Telstra Approves March Update for Mozart, Now In the Hands of Microsoft

Posted by Darius Wey in "Windows Phone Mobile Operators" @ 11:30 PM

Telstra may be behind on those Windows Phone 7 updates, but progress is being made with the carrier announcing yesterday that it has approved the March update for the HTC 7 Mozart. Now in the hands of Microsoft, delivery of the update is scheduled for next week. Unfortunately, those of you with the LG Optimus 7Q may have to wait a little while longer. The update is still undergoing testing, and all that Telstra has said with regard to a release date is "May".

February Update Roll-Out Begins for Telstra Customers

Posted by Darius Wey in "Windows Phone Software" @ 03:00 PM

So, without a doubt, the update process for Windows Phone 7 has been anything but fast and fluid for most users. Case in point, Telstra customers in Australia who, only yesterday, started receiving the February update notification on the HTC 7 Mozart and LG Optimus 7Q. Yes, we know what you're thinking -- the February update in April. A whole two months later. But as they say, better late than never. The March update, which delivers copy-and-paste, is supposedly arriving later this month, and when it does, we'll let you know about it. Of course, if you're rocking the recently-released HTC HD7, you already have both updates, so that game they call the waiting game is not yours to be played.

Techradar Reviews HTC's HD7 and 7 Mozart

Posted by Nurhisham Hussein in "HTC Windows Phones" @ 04:30 PM

http://www.techradar.com/reviews/ph...t-900356/review

"There isn't a great deal between the launch handsets for the new operating system, given Microsoft's strict control of the software and stringent minimum hardware specifications. But what sets the HTC 7 Mozart apart from other HTC handsets such as the HTC HD7 and HTC 7 Trophy?"

Techradar has reviewed both the HD7 (link here) and the 7 Mozart (here). Like many, they've pointed out the blemishes in WP7, but generally like the OS and these spanking new HTC devices. Want to know more? Hit the links for the reviews!

Hands-On with the HTC 7 Mozart

Posted by Darius Wey in "HTC Windows Phones" @ 11:30 PM

Choice is good. No, choice is great! But in looking at HTC's Windows Phone 7 devices, you could be forgiven for thinking that the paradox of choice is entirely applicable. Specs-wise, they're almost the same. That makes decision-making inherently tough. But there are features that differentiate each from the other, and perhaps the most defining features on the HTC 7 Mozart is the 8-megapixel camera with Xenon flash and the 3.7" display, which, being the second-smallest of the bunch, makes for some pretty impressive pixel density. How does this beast look and feel in the flesh? Read on to find out!

Windows Phone 7 Profile: the HTC 7 Mozart

Posted by Jason Dunn in "HTC Windows Phones" @ 12:33 PM

http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/...one/glance.aspx

"The HTC 7 Mozart offers high fidelity sound for a richer listening and viewing experience, along with a powerful 8MP camera with Xenon flash."

The Mozart is a bit of a curious beast; it has an 8 megapixel camera, and SRS WOW surround sound, so you'd think this is the flagship multimedia phone from HTC...yet it only has a 3.7" screen and a mere 8 GB of storage. Maybe it's the "budget" multimedia phone? The HTC 7 Mozart will be released in Europe.
