Samsung Focus Touch-Screen Mystery?

Posted by Jason Dunn in "Windows Phone News" @ 04:00 AM

"While the screen gets high marks, we are hearing rumblings that there may be a glitch with the touch sensativity. It seems that if you lay the Focus down on a cushioned surface (e.g. a couch) the responsiveness of the screen goes from really good to really bad fast."

How utterly strange - I've never heard of anything like this before. Any Samsung Focus owners out there care to comment? Can you reproduce this behaviour? I'd weigh in on this issue myself, but I'm still waiting for Rogers Wireless to sell me one of these phones!

Potential Setup Glitches & Fixes For Windows Phone 7

Posted by Ed Hansberry in "Windows Phone Software" @ 09:00 AM

"In our time playing with various handsets, we haven't found any serious problems with Windows Phone 7, but there are few things that might puzzle you."

If you've been fortunate enough to grab a Windows Phone 7 device but have had a few glitches, this article may help. it covers issues like Zune software on your desktop having a memory leak, unable to connect to Gmail, can't wirelessly sync and several others. Overall, a nice troubleshooting list for those glitches that sometimes can ruin an out of the box experience.
