wmTorrent v.3 - Why? Because You Can.
Posted by Jon Westfall in "Pocket PC Software" @ 09:30 AM
"WinMobile Torrent (wmTorrent) v.3, the world's first torrent client for Windows Mobile, has evolved far beyond its previous version. It now provides advanced features on par with other desktop torrent clients. wmTorrent now supports DHT (trackerless torrent); PEX (Peer Exchange); plain text and RC4 Protocol Encryption; HTTP Seeding; torrent extensions and many more. Join us in the wild, torrential, virtual world with our state-of-the-art software, wmTorrent v.3."
I'm not sure how many of us have had that sinking feeling: You're out and about, and think to yourself "I really need to download a torrent, right now!". Sure you could use the web interface on your PC at home to schedule that new linux distribution download, or you could simply wait until you get home in 20 minutes, OR you could use wmTorrent, and download it straight onto your small-memory-capacity and limited-network-speed device! I know the clear choice for me!
Seriously, the only real application I can see for wmTorrent is probably for a spare device that you'd like to turn into a torrent downloader at night (perhaps to let your more power-hungry computer sleep) or use at work to stealthly download torrents off a highspeed network. But for $25, I think I'll pay the extra electricty bill and skip possible termination at work. 5 Day trial is available - anyone rushing to download it?
