HTC Lowers Expectations In 2009

"High Tech Computer (HTC) has lowered its guidance for revenue growth in 2009 amid the global economic slowdown, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report. The paper quoted HTC CEO Peter Chou as saying that the company expects its revenues to grow at a double-digit rate in 2009, compared to a robust 20% growth Chou projected in a conference call last October."
This just goes to show that not even the venerable are immune from tough economic conditions; although, double-digit rate of growth is still solid, considering many other major companies have experienced losses in the past half year, and are expecting further losses in the year ahead.
