HTC Sees Solid Revenue Growth

"High Tech Computer (HTC) posted revenues of NT$9.63 billion (US$313.7 million) in February, down 19.9% on month but up 45.9% on year, according to a company press release. The February results were in line with market expectations, said sources at Taiwan-based securities companies. For the first two months of this year, revenues totaled NT$21.66 billion, up 49.4% on year, said the company. With strong performance in the January-February period, HTC revenues for the first quarter of this year are expected to be higher than NT$32 billion the company projected earlier, the Chinese-language Commercial Times recently quoted sources at securities firms as saying. HTC revenues will also remain strong in the second quarter due to the planned launch of its Diamond-series smartphones, the paper noted."
40% plus revenue growth, believe it or not, is a bit of a come down for HTC - the last 3-4 years, they've hit triple digits, though admittedly off a low base. More interesting is the reference to the Diamond-series smartphones - I must be out of touch, because I've never heard of these. Anyone?
