Dopod China Plans 12-13 New Phones for 2008

"Dopod China plans to launch 12-13 new phones in China in 2008, targeting to double its sales volume in China from a year earlier, company COO Paul Hsu was quoted by media in China as saying. In 2007, Dopod experienced a 200% on-year growth in both sales volume and value for handset sales in China, Hsu said, without providing detailed figures. New phones launched in 2008 will mostly support 3G standards, including WCDMA, CDMA 2000 and TD-SCDMA, Hsu noted."
It's been quiet on the Dopod front recently, but the company may be making up for that with the launch of 12-13 new phones later this year. Considering Dopod and HTC are best buddies, it's also a sign of what the Windows Mobile giant has in store for us, with 3G being all the rage. Stay tuned!
