Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Goes Retail
Posted by Darius Wey in "DEVELOPER" @ 04:00 AM
"Microsoft is proud to announce the availability of Visual Studio 2008 in volume licensing, retail, and MSDN download. This exciting new version was released to manufacturing (RTM) on November 19, 2007 and at that time active MSDN subscribers were able to download it right away. With its inclusion on the January 2008 volume licensing price list, the product is now available to sell and ship to your customers via Open, Select, Enterprise Agreement (EA), and Full Packaged Product (FPP)."
Last November, we saw Visual Studio 2008 and the .NET Framework 3.5 hit RTM. MSDN subscribers have had exclusive access to it for a while; now, it's available to retail and volume licensing customers. For the mobile developers here, there's plenty for you including .NET CF 3.5, support for unit testing, and a new Device Emulator. If you're interested in learning more about VS2008, head over to Microsoft for the lowdown.
