HTC Gene and HTC Love Video Reviews with Cyrillic Critiques
Posted by Paul Martin in "HARDWARE" @ 06:33 PM
"I can’t speak Russian, but at least we can enjoy the devices being show off by portavik.ru. The HTC Gene (P3400) is a quad band GSM Phone with Windows Mobile 6, a 2mp Camera, and Bluetooth. That’s all I know about it so far. The HTC Love (P3350) is basically the HTC Artemis without the GPS. It’s a quad band GSM Pocket PC phone with WiFi, Bluetooth, built in FM Radio, 256MB ROM, 64MB RAM, and a camera…. But, it’s only EDGE."

Overall, portavik.ru seems to place these two HTCs in more of a beginning-device category, sort of a My First HTC. They knock the HTC P3350 Love for a weak processor and absence of GPS. Though it is very similar to the HTC P3300 Artemis, it is more media focused with a built-in media-hub with FM radio with RDS data, pictures, music, and video instead of a GPS module. Similarly, the HTC Gene lacks WiFi and is regulated to more of a budget device, using the same TI OMAP 850 processor as the Qtek S200 and I-mate JAMin. Any Russian-speakers want to give us a better feel for the reviews?
