New HTC Device Sightings
Posted by Nurhisham Hussein in "HARDWARE" @ 11:00 AM
"It's about time that HTC's Artemis gets kicked to the curb and its replacement may well be the hot little set pictured above. Dubbed the Polaris -- we've heard rumblings and rumors since way back -- it stands out with Windows Mobile 6 Pro, a 3.5 inch VGA screen -- VGA, those three letters are music to our ears -- 256 / 128 MB ROM and RAM, GPS, 3 megapixel camera with autofocus, and quad-band GSM / GPRS / EDGE. HSDPA also figures here -- but will only be beaming to this set in the 2100MHz range -- with the rumored specs rounding out with a mention of a "digital compass" and FM radio."
We've got two potential mockups? conjectures? of new HTC devices here. The device on the left purports to be a live shot of Polaris, the WM6 replacement for the Artemis that was released last year, with what appears to be significant specification upgrades. The second (link here) is the Nike, a replacement for the two-month old Touch with the addition of a sliding numeric keypad and a more rounded soapbar shape. Bear in mind these are as yet unconfirmed reports, though I'm sure we'll be hearing more in the next couple of months. In the meantime, dream and enjoy!
