The Asus Pegasus Has Landed (Well, Almost)

"ASUS has finalized the details of its just-introduced P526 smartphone. While some details were released in advance, the finished version will still have its 2.6-inch touchscreen, GPS navigation, and quad-band GSM radio with EDGE Internet but will also make use of Windows Mobile 6 Professional, guaranteeing the inclusion of Office Mobile."
Slimmer, much lighter, and sporting WM6 Pro, EDGE and a SirfStar III chip, the P526 is an odd mixture of improvements and one big step back over the preceding P525 - yup, we have yet another TI OMAP device. Apart from the downgrade in the processor, the P526 sports half decent specs for a mid-range WM phone though not to the point I'd get overly excited about it. No news yet on global or US availability, though the original launch date was supposed to be this month.
