Posted by Jon Westfall in "NEWS" @ 01:07 PM
"Glide Sync 2.0 for Windows runs on Windows PCs from XP to Vista with expanded options for scheduled synchronization, file conflict resolution and automatic updates. Glide begins its descent to the local desktop with Glide’s complete application suite now accessible from Glide Sync. TransMedia has increased storage allotments for Glide free accounts to 2GBs. Users can also purchase additional allotments of 10GBs of storage for $4.95 a month or $49.95 a year. The Glide OS and complete online desktop and mobile application suite is free. Glide is designed to work with virtually any cell phone with an Internet data plan. Glide OS 2.0 Beta supports the following phones for Windows users including several new additions."
Glide looks pretty cool, and I'm playing around with it now. Try it out and it may be your answer to mobile file sync'ing although I have an alternate method that I'll be posting on in the next few days). If you don't mind storing your files on a central server, Glide may be your answer. Can't argue with the starting price either! Now I just wish they had a dedicated Windows Mobile client so that my device would auto-download the changed files! Then it really would replace ActiveSync.
