HTC Posts Higher Sales in January

"High Tech Computer (HTC) reported that its revenues totaled NT$7.9 billion (US$239 million) in January, down 2.5% sequentially but up 9.9% on year. The January sequential decline was in line with HTC's past business pattern since the company's revenues of NT$7.19 billion for January 2006 were also the lowest monthly levels for the year, according to market sources. "
The continuing shift away from ODM business towards own-brand devices hasn't affected HTC's earning power very much. We'll have to see if that will continue, though the attention that the Athena will garner should do wonders for brand recognition (if not the bottom line). I am curious though on what HTC will do to keep the momentum going in their thus far spectacular growth - HTC Omni, anyone?
