Public Debut of eCoupled Intelligent Wireless Power at CES
Posted by Paul Martin in "NEWS" @ 05:30 AM
"The 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world's largest annual tradeshow for consumer technology, will serve as the public debut of eCoupled(TM), a revolutionary new technology that allows for the transmission of power and data without the traditional restraints of cords and ports...eCoupled technology leverages inductive coupling, which works by transferring energy from one device to another through a shared magnetic field."
One of the cool technologies announced at CES was eCoupled. Though much of the engineering is over my head, the possibility to charge mobile devices without having to plug it in is huge! After you've read the press announcement above, check out the cool video at YouTube. One odd note of personal concern; the company developing this technology is Alticor, which is the parent company of Amway, Quixtar, and other Multilevel Marketing efforts. I hope you don't have to sit through a demonstration or examination of your life goals before you get to purchase one.
