Using Your Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC Phone As A Wireless USB Modem

"So you got Windows Mobile 5 devices and you want to use it as USB wireless modem for your laptop while on the move? On the newer model (those that manufactured by HTC, most probably) have an applet call WModem. With that you can use your WM5 device as your wireless modem. To use it, you must make sure ActiveSync is not running in both WM5 and Windows PC."
I remember a long time ago writing up a similar How-to for creating a dial-up networking connection on my origianal XDA II. However, now the steps have been a bit streamlined - so if you're interested, check out this nice write up.
Of course, for die-hards like me, the older way was more flexible. I surely hope MS brings back the DUN profile!
