Conexus To Drop Roaming Costs

"How many mobile phones do you have with you when travelling? Are international roaming chargest prohibitively expensive? The eight operators of Conexus, Asia's largest alliance of mobile operators, think they have the answer. The group, which includes Japan's NTT DoCoMo, has pledged to lower tariffs for global roaming and is planning international data roaming packages."
In my eyes, the lowering of roaming costs forms just half of the equation. Drop the cost of local data plans too and then us (the consumers) and the carriers may finally be on the same page.
