Cingular 750 to Ship Without HSDPA?

"We all have been waiting patiently for the Cingular machine to crank out that Treo 750. Now we have word on an estimated time frame as well as some bad news. I'll give you the goods first – the 750 has been scheduled for a Q4 release. I say scheduled loosely since I doubt Cingular will come through with this but at least if its delayed it can't be that far off. The bad news is that instead of getting the download speeds of HSDPA we are going to have to settle for just plain UMTS."
This is a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt, but it looks like the Cingular 750 will ship with the same limitation as the Vodafone unit. It's a little disappointing to see this, but as long as they eventually release an update, I don't think it's a deal-killer. After all, we already know the 750 is capable of HSDPA, even if the update to turn it on isn't available yet.
