MobileAMA Releases V-Code (Video Code) for Fast 2D Barcode Downloading

"MobileAMA, an Applied Media Analysis company, announces the launch of V-Code (Video Code), a product that allows data transfer to camera phones through a dynamic visual code. MobileAMA’s patent pending technology allows mobile content providers to encode data and present it visually. Users can now download more content quickly and reliably without cables, networks or data fees, by simply pointing the camera at a V-Code. V-Codes allow users to download large files presented visually on any TV, monitor, flat panel device, LCD, CRT, or even movie screen."
When I first saw the video, I was reminded of the old Timex Datalink watch sync feature. According to Andy Bucholz, Director of Business Development, MobileAMA essentially loops a video of a 2D barcode, packing in more data. Although most Pocket PC Phone users connect to a PC at some point, would this be a useful alternative in some circumstances if you had a built-in camera? Since V-Code is aimed at content providers, what kind of content would you like offered in this way?
