Palm and Vodafone have launched the new GSM based Treo 750V in Europe and the UK. This is Palm's third Windows Mobile Treo after the Verizon 700w and Sprint 700wx released here in the States.
Features include:
• GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS radio, GSM bands: 850/900/1800/1900, UMTS bands: 850/1900/2100
• 60MB of memory available to the user
• 300MHz Samsung processor
• miniSD card slot
The most notable omission is the lack of a WiFi radio, but that is more likely a Vodafone demand than anything else. Most carriers don't like WiFi because they don't control it. Engadget has some additional pictures, and some comments that Vodafone exclusivity for this phone only applies to Europe, so it may become available in the Americas and Asia this year. Jason Langridge has had a 750v for two months and shares his thoughts on the device.
