Microsoft Device Emulator 2.0 CTP Released

"This is the Beta version of Microsoft Device Emulator 2.0. The RTM version of this emulator will be released with the upcoming Windows CE 6.0 release. This Emulator has the same executables and DLLs as the 1.0 emulator that came with Visual Studio 2005 RTM and has upgraded performance and some new features. This install does not replace the emulator installed with Visual Studio 2005. The installer that comes with this preview only copies the relevant binaries to the user's system."
v2.0 CTP of the Device Emulator sports many new features and upgraded performance over its predecessor. For example:
• Reduction of cold-boot times and improved application execution speeds.
• Support for high-resolution input.
• Ability to modify more emulator options on-the-fly.
• And more.
v2.0 CTP is backward-compatible with v1.0 CTP, and can run side-by-side with v1.0 CTP and all other Visual Studio 2005 emulators. It's available for free from the Microsoft Download Center.
