MOBILE TV: CyberLink Demonstrates DVB-H TV Solution for Mobile Devices

"CyberLink, well known for its digital home solutions, recently unveiled its CyberLink DVB-H TV Solution for accessing broadcast TV content via mobile devices. The announcement reveals the extension of CyberLink's leading digital TV expertise for the PC, to include playback of video and TV entertainment via handheld devices such as PDAs and smartphones. CyberLink is currently demonstrating its latest solution at the Taipei International Digital Electronics Show."
Arne at the::unwired is happy to speculate that they were demonstrating this capability using a Windows Mobile-powered Pocket PC. I'm just happy getting my Orb and Media Center PC setup so I can let my kids watch DragonTales on my Treo 700w without having to walk around with hundreds of megabytes occupying my SD card. With more effort in getting everything streaming nowadays, it'll be interesting to see how all are bandwidth gets pushed to its limits. I can hear Verizon and Cingular just cringing now...
