TechFaithWireless (TFW): Move Over, HTC?
Posted by Darius Wey in "HARDWARE" @ 01:00 PM
Ignoring the very slight possibility that this is a delayed April Fool's joke, it appears that Chinese company, TechFaithWireless (TFW), has a set of concept designs for Pocket PC Phone Edition and Smartphone devices that may give HTC a run for their money. Each Phone Edition design is different, though there are some standout features common to all - namely, a possible 4.0-megapixel CCD, a 2.4" or 2.8" QVGA (240 x 320) TFT-LCD, tri- or quad-band GSM/GPRS support (with possible EDGE and W-CDMA support), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, IrDA, GPS, 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, and Windows Mobile 5.0. The processor choice isn't crash hot (TI OMAP 200MHZ or Intel Bulverde 312MHz), and I'm not sure how far TFW intends to go with a 1200mAh battery (considering the 1001 optional components they have planned). I'll guess we'll find out soon enough.
