Windows Phone Thoughts: Nero Enables Mobile VoIP with Sipps Mobile

"Nero, leaders in digital media technology, announces the release of Nero Sipps Mobile at CeBIT 2006. With the expansion of its VoIP portfolio beyond the desktop-based Nero Sipps, Nero Sipps Essentials, and Nero Sipps VoIP Server packages, Nero will now be able to target mobile terminals with Nero Sipps Mobile. Whether in the context of WLAN zones in hotel lobbies, hotspots in cafés or wireless Internet connections at home, Nero Sipps Mobile will at last put phone calls via mobile terminals within everyone's means. Calls with other VoIP subscribers will be free, while calls to the worldwide fixed or mobile network will be possible at affordable rates – all without the need for the obligatory subscription or cell phone contract. Porting to the Symbian operating system is also planned."

Here's another VoIP client for Windows Mobile. Nero Sipps Mobile offers all the standard telephony functions, alongside an address book with direct dialing, a logbook, and personalised ring tones. A server-side address book, a buddy management system, and support for text-based instant messaging will be added in a future release. Sipps Mobile is available for Windows Mobile 2003 and Windows Mobile 5.0.
