Pretec 1.5GB, Panasonic 4GB Memory Cards at CeBIT
Posted by Darius Wey in "HARDWARE" @ 06:00 PM

Panasonic has just created a new mammoth-sized (and perhaps mammoth-priced) 4GB SDHC memory card. The new high-capacity, high-speed card is currently being shown off at CeBIT, and should be on sale sometime in Summer. Also of note (but alas, not so exciting) is Pretec's release of the 1.5GB SD/MMC/CF memory cards. According to the company, they've been built to help people who need a card that's a little larger than 1GB, yet a little smaller (and slightly cheaper) than 2GB. Yeah, we're not sure we see the value in it either, but to make matters even more confusing, 0.8GB and 1.2GB versions will ship alongside the 1.5GB.
