Commodore... Now Into Mobile Gaming!?
Posted by Janak Parekh in "OFF-TOPIC" @ 09:30 PM
"Commodore Gaming plans to introduce public kiosks that will allow users to load games onto their mobile phones. These will be introduced into mobile phone and game retailers across Europe later this year."
For the older fogeys like me, we fondly remember the days of the PET, C64, Amiga, and brethren. (Well, not if you ever had to deal with the torture known as realigning a 1541 disk drive.) It seems Commodore has fallen a long, long way. Quite frankly, I don't see how the brand is effectively being used here, and unless they manage to carve out a niche, I'm expecting this version of Commodore to go out of business too. :| The Register has a skeptical analysis, including a brief look at the company's history.
