Microsoft Welcomes Inventec Appliances and Arima Communications

"Microsoft has attracted two more Taiwan-based handset makers, Inventec Appliances and Arima Communications, to use its Windows Mobile OS in the manufacture of handsets, said Eddie Wu, Microsoft's senior director of device solutions sales Asia and worldwide ODM ecosystems. Windows Mobile partnerships in Taiwan now include BenQ, Quanta Computer, Compal Communications, High Tech Computer (HTC), Asustek Computer, Chi Mei Communication Systems, Kinpo Electronics, Mitac International, and Gigabyte Communications, Wu noted."
Over the past three years, the number of Windows Mobile device manufacturers has blossomed, with Taiwan-based Inventec Appliances and Arima Communications being the latest additions. Looking at the figures, I say, "the more, the merrier". There is nothing like greater product range to go with strengthened global commitment to the Windows Mobile platform.
