i-Mate Confirms MSFP ROM Updates Coming Soon
Posted by Jason Dunn in "NEWS" @ 04:00 PM
Artak Abrahamyan , Technical Support Specialist from i-Mate, responded to my email requesting when they'd be releasing MSFP updates:
"Thank you for your email regarding the Messaging and Security Feature Pack (push support). We would like to inform you that it will be available as a free ROM upgrade for our Windows Mobile 5.0 devices on clubimate.com for registered users. We expect to make the upgrade available in upcoming weeks. Your patience is highly appreciated."
Although I requested information about which devices would be receiving updates, he didn't provide that information. My hope is that it will be for all of the Windows Mobile 5.0 devices that i-Mate has released so far. Looks like we'll see this in early March. Hopefully it will come with some fixes for bugs as well - my Jasjar has been giving me a lot of trouble lately (more on that in another post).
UPDATE: No surprises here, but when I asked what devices this would be for, they responded : "...upcoming MSFP updates involve Windows Mobile 5 based devices, namely K-JAM, JASJAR, SP5, SP5m and JAMIN."
