Compal Communications to Manufacture the Pocket LOOX T810/T830?

"Compal Communications will reportedly manufacture two 3G-enabled PDA phones, the Loox T810 and T830, for Fujitsu-Siemens, the Chinese-language Commercial Times reported today. Compal Communications is able to land the Fujitsu-Siemens orders following the recent consolidation of the Personal Mobile Communications and Computing (PMCC) division of Compal Electronics, the paper said, noting that the PMCC unit gained its 3G technology from its cooperation with Motorola in the development of the MPx smartphone."
According to reports made by Commercial Times, Compal Communications will manufacture the Pocket LOOX T810 and T830 Phone Edition devices, as discussed earlier in the week. If true, it will be a fresh change for Fujitsu-Siemens, who for a couple of years now, have had HTC manufacture their handhelds for them.
