Posted by Darius Wey in "DEVELOPER" @ 12:00 AM
"Launched in 2005 through the merging of Mobile DevCon and Embedded DevCon, MEDC is a core Microsoft investment in the embedded/mobile device arena - and all the people who make the technology soar. Our mission is simple: Celebrate the technology and the technologist. Participants are exposed to an unparalleled and inspiring combination of software, devices, support, and networking opportunities tailored to fit their individual preferences. Attend Mobile & Embedded DevCon 2006 and get the latest on building and bringing to market the next wave of devices, applications, content, and services for the Windows Mobile® and Windows Embedded platforms."
MEDC 2006 is being held from May 8 to May 11 at The Venetian in Las Vegas (lovely hotel, for those of you who haven't been before). Registration for the conference has opened, so if you're a developer (or end user) hoping to learn a thing or two about Microsoft's mobile and embedded platforms, register early to take advantage of the "Super Early Bird" specials.
All attendees will receive a "party bag" consisting of Visual Studio 2005 Standard Edition, an MEDC 2006 post-conference DVD, the Windows Mobile 5.0 Resource Kit (updated for MEDC attendees with additional training resources), and 120-day evaluation copies of Windows XP Embedded, Windows Embedded for Point of Service, and Windows CE.
