V-Mobile Software releases Network Browser v1.3
Posted by Jonathon Watkins in "NEWS" @ 01:00 AM
"The Network Browser is a full featured network browsing and diagnostic tool to extend your Windows Mobile Pocket PC network functionality. With the Network Browser you can easily access your corporate network or play MP3 files stored on your desktop's hard drive. The Built-in WiFi network scanner allows to search for public wireless networks and to monitor connection quality."
The functionality includes file management, access to network shares either directly or by mapping drives, network configurations tools like Ping and Trace route etc. Geekzone have reviewed Network Browser and seem to like it quite a bit. I'm partial to good jack-of-all-trades programs like this as it cuts down on the sheer number of things to install and keep up to date with. I've been using VxUtil for network management, but I think I'll give Network Browser a spin and see how it goes. You can can find a trial version here, and you can buy it from Handango for $17.95.
