Sony Stops Making CDs That Sneaks Software On Your PC

I only posted that because so many people sent in either that link or similar ones from other news agencies. Really. I did not want to post on this anymore, but you made me. :wink:
"Sony defended its right to prevent customers from illegally copying music but said it will halt manufacturing CDs with the “XCP” technology as a precautionary measure. “We also intend to re-examine all aspects of our content protection initiative to be sure that it continues to meet our goals of security and ease of consumer use,” the company said in a statement."
Yeah. I have a feeling I know about how those "goals of security" stack up against "ease of consumer use" on the Sony Scale Of Priorities. :roll:
