iTunes for Windows Mobile?

The pictures are there, the supporting info is there - yet unless I have a working demo in my hands, I'll continue to believe that this is a fake. Sure enough, it's easy to see why iTunes exists on a Windows PC. The application is the iPod's desktop companion, and with thousands of iPod users worldwide using Windows over Mac OS, it makes plenty of sense for Apple to support both platforms.
Now what would Apple have to gain from having iTunes support the Windows Mobile platform? I can only list a small number of Pocket PCs out there with USB-Host - so Apple would have to be out of their mind to think iTunes for Windows Mobile would open up a whole new world of iPod sync functionality. Now if you wanted to argue that this isn't about having iPods sync with another platform, but rather Apple wanting to tap even further into the mobile media market by shutting off Windows Media Player Mobile, then this would appear to be a pretty brash move on Apple's part, because wouldn't that just eat into iPod sales?
I could go on forever, but I won't. Remember, a little bit of free time and a little bit of imagination can get you anywhere.
