BenQ P50 to Become BenQ-Siemens P50

"BenQ is likely to begin selling its P50 PDA phone under the Siemens brand name in Europe in late September or early October when the company officially takes over Siemens' mobile handset business unit, the Chinese-language Commercial Times reported today. The Taiwan vendor is also expected to introduce its first dual-brand BenQ-Siemens handset in February 2006, the paper noted."
You may remember that earlier in June, BenQ announced the acquisition of the mobile devices branch of Siemens AG. News just in from Taiwanese news site, DigiTimes: the P50 will be one of the first mobile devices to be unleashed under the BenQ-Siemens name. It's expected that this move will occur in Europe around Q4 2005, with a new BenQ-Siemens handset to be released early next year.
