Windows Phone Thoughts: Visual Studio 2005 RTM - November 7, 2005

For all developers, the planned date for Visual Studio 2005 Final RTM is November 7, 2005. .NET Compact Framework 2.0, which has been excluded in Windows Mobile 5.0, has also been tagged with a November 7 release date, and will be released as a redistributable package for installation on all Windows Mobile devices. It's a bit of a wait from now until then, so if you haven't already ordered Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2, it would be a good idea to head over to Microsoft to get your hands on a copy (note that developers located in other countries will want to check their local Microsoft site for additional details). This will set you up with an appropriate Windows Mobile 5.0-friendly development environment for the time being.
