Fujitsu-Siemens' Unofficial/Official Windows Mobile 5 Plans

The eager folk at FirstLoox.org managed to pipe a few emails across to the Fujitsu-Siemens support team with the hope of receiving some good news about Windows Mobile 5 updates for their Pocket LOOX 400 and 700 series. So far, the news appears to be somewhat decent with the word on the street being the following:
• Pocket LOOX 400 Series: No Windows Mobile 5 upgrades for existing devices are planned at this stage. The latest upgrade available is the recently-released Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition ROM update. New Pocket LOOX 400 series Pocket PCs will begin shipping at the end of November 2005. It is uncertain whether these new devices will have Windows Mobile 5 or not.
• Pocket LOOX 700 Series: A Windows Mobile 5 upgrade will be made available from the end of July 2005 to April 2006. New Pocket LOOX 700 series Pocket PCs with Windows Mobile 5 will begin shipping at the end of August 2005.
