Boingo, Ecuity and TeleSym Join Forces, Develop Secret Handshake
Posted by Pat Logsdon in "NEWS" @ 02:00 AM
"Hotspot operator Boingo Wireless is joining with VoIP service provider Ecuity and software firm TeleSym to market a wireless VoIP (wVoIP) service. Boingo will supply its 13,000-plus WiFi hotspots to the service, which will feature Ecuity's Smart Call mobile VoIP service and TeleSym's SymPhone software. Subscribers will be able to make and receive wVoIP calls on laptop computers and Pocket PC-compatible devices. The service will target mobile professionals and businesses worldwide. The companies are offering a 30-day free trial for the service, which will support calls made in nearly 3,000 cities in 38 different countries."
Ok, so I don't think they've got a secret handshake, but they HAVE joined forces. I think they bought capes, too, but I could be wrong about that. I've never heard of Ecuity (sounds like something you'd see a doctor for) OR TeleSym. Boingo is a name that is familiar to me, however, so I guess that's alright. Has anyone here used either Ecuity as a provider or the TeleSym software? Do tell.
