Skweezer Becomes RSS-Friendly
Posted by Darius Wey in "SITES & RESOURCES" @ 01:00 PM
"Greenlight Wireless today announced that Skweezer now supports RSS newsfeeds. The addition of this new feature was prompted by a recent survey of Skweezer users, which put mobile RSS access at the top of users' wish list for the service. Skweezer users can now read RSS feeds on their wireless handheld devices, such as PDA's or cell phones, without using a stand-alone RSS Reader. RSS feeds are often more convenient for mobile users to read than full Web pages, as they consist of a list of headlines and short descriptions that link to the full story or article. Content accessed from the newsfeed is compressed and reformatted with Skweezer's wireless optimization technology, making it faster to load and easier to view on a wireless handset. RSS feeds can also be bookmarked in Skweezer, allowing quick access to frequently visited newsfeeds right from the Skweezer homepage."
Skweezer, which I posted on late last year, now supports RSS. And I know there's a fair few of you who use RSS and Skweezer (I'm one of them), so it's definitely great being able to bring these two together! For those of you who plan on trying this new feature out, be sure to post on your thoughts. :-)
