FCC Approves... Some Unnamed HTC Pocket PC Phone!
Posted by Janak Parekh in "HARDWARE" @ 08:00 AM
Unfortunately, HTC successfully filed a confidentiality request with the FCC, so we don't have the full details on this device, but it appears that a HTC Pocket PC Phone (or, at least, the full details of it) is slated to be released this summer. The test report also shows that it'll have GSM/EDGE on both the 850 and 1900 bands, which is important for North America. About all you can see of the device is a back with an FCC sticker:
So, the million dollar question -- which device is it? I'm hoping it's a US version of the HTC Universal (otherwise known as the MDA IV). :) Time to place your bets!
Update: Looks like I would have lost the bet -- the forum members agree it's most likely the HP hw6500. I hope the fact that it's manufactured by HTC means a good-quality unit.
