O2 Asia Believes Microsoft is the Way of the Future in Mobile Devices

"I think the Microsoft OS offers the best opportunity for an easy entrance for new users into the PDA or smartphone space. We're very happy with what Microsoft is doing and we're excited about the future - a lot of it's about following a well-troddened route that they've been down in the PC space. It's about bringing more multimedia functionality and more personal information management into the device - that's where the roadmap is going."
O2 Asia's CEO, Mark Billington, took time out to chat to Wireless Asia about the booming PDA market. With many major disparities in PDA usage in regional areas, Mark focuses on what the future has in store for PDAs in Asia. However, I can certainly see his comments applying elsewhere too. Anyway, it's a great read - especially since Mark gives Microsoft's mobile platform the tick of approval. ;-)
