Down Under with Darius!
Posted by Darius Wey in "UPDATE" @ 06:00 AM
Across all the Thoughts Media websites, many of you may have known me by the pseudonym, DJ Apod. Well, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Darius Wey, a technology aficionado of colossal proportions, and the newest Contributing Editor-in-Training here at Pocket PC Thoughts.
I live in Perth, Western Australia - the most isolated city in the world! I am a student doctor and I love my gadgets. So when I'm not out there trying to save lives, I'm out there laying my hands on the latest technology available. :)
My first computer was the Commodore 64 (those were the days :) ). From there, I went through the progressive stages of owning every x86 computer, followed by every line of Intel Pentiums. My affection for mobile devices extends back to when I was a baby. Instead of being the typical kid that would draw on furniture, I played with a calculator instead. My first handheld was the Casio SF-6300 personal organiser - one of the first organisers to have a touchpad interface - and I still have it too! Some of my personal interests include creating and mixing music, video editing, web and graphic designing, programming and astronomy.
It’s great to be a part of the best Pocket PC website out there, and it is the readers of this website that make this place enormously special. So with that in mind, I am looking forward to working with the team and adding to the quality content that Pocket PC Thoughts already delivers. I like to think that being in a completely different time zone from the rest of the team only makes the experience all the more exciting! ;)
Aside from the editorial duties, I enjoy responding to any questions that people throw at me. So feel free to drop me a line if you’re in need of advice! You can also use the forums to ask questions – the whole PPCT community will do their best to help you out. :D
