"i-mate™ today are proud to announce the launch of its first 3G product, the imate ™ PDA2K EVDO. This launch represents a worldwide first for i-mate™, with Australia identified as the ideal launch pad of a global rollout. The new i-mate™ PDA2K EVDO represents a technological breakthrough as it is the first ever 3G capable device powered by the Microsoft Windows Mobile™ platform, and is also the first integrated device operating on Australia’s CDMA 1xEV-DO network."
As I've mentioned before, this is the HTC Harrier OEM device, with high-speed CDMA 1xEVDO data, Bluetooth, and a slide-out keyboard. Sprint has officially announced that they will be selling this unit as the Audiovox 6600, while it's rumored that Verizon will be carrying this. In the meantime, it's great to see Australians get another option for CDMA high-speed data using the Pocket PC platform. 8)
