Posted by marlof in "SOFTWARE" @ 03:00 AM
As all medical professionals out there will testify, up-to-date knowledge and access to as much reference material as possible is key when dealing with diseases like cancer. The American Cancer Society currently is working on software that will help you with that, straight from your PDA.
"C-Tools 2.0 is an innovative Personal Digital Assistant software package that is being developed to help doctors and their staff prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. (...) C-Tools 2.0 will be available in both a Palm OS and a Microsoft Pocket PC version. All clinical content for the software has been developed and reviewed by physicians, the American Cancer Society National Health Promotions Review Board and additional cancer education professionals. The software program will be a complete collection of the most recent cancer facts, findings and information, all available at no charge."
C-Tools 2.0 will be made available to physicians and health care staff in January 2005. If you want to make sure that you won't miss out on this great initiative, you can subscribe to the mailing list.
