PPCW Previews XDA III's Wireless Features
Posted by Janak Parekh in "ARTICLE" @ 11:15 AM
The XDA/MDA III (using GSM/GPRS, also known as the HTC "Blue Angel") will ship with both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support, along with an integrated thumbboard. Interestingly, it will support seamless roaming between GPRS and Wi-Fi networks. Arne over at PPCW details the wireless features of the device and shows some cool screenshots.
"It seems this device will become a pretty complete one - for sure - thanks to it's GSM/GPRS, W-LAN and Bluetooth support, but also because HTC is working on a clever implementation how wireless connections are used..."
I'm curious how the iPAQ 6315 will support GPRS/Wi-Fi roaming, as well. Incidentally, Arne has some good comparison shots between the Blue Angel and the MPx here.
