File Explorer With A Twist

Has anybody been keeping track of just how many Pocket Explorer replacements there are out there? Among all of the great applications that have been developed to help us navigate our Pocket PC file systems, there is one that offers something a little special: PPXplorer.

Among the many features of PPXplorer are:

• File and folder copy, move, delete,...
• Registry editor (Copy, move, rename, import, export, search, ...)
• Network browser
• Send multiple files and folders via Infra-red (OBEX)
• System info in properties (Device info, memory, power, ...)
• Search files, folders, and text in files
• Quick "Send To" command
• Favorites (quick folder or registry key access)
• Built-in viewer (Hex, ANSI, UNICODE)
• File association (associate programs and icons to file extensions)
• File encryption
• Create shortcut to files, folders, registry keys, and registry values
• A complete and easily accessible help (Help button in dialog boxes)

But, the neatest feature is called "My Safe." This is a secure, password-protected folder for storing important and private files. When you copy or move files from "File System" to "My Safe", PPXplorer automatically encrypts the files, and when you copy or move files from "My Safe" to "File System", PPXplorer automatically decrypts the files.

There is a free demo available and a full version for $14.99 via Handango.
