PPC Task Manager Available
Posted by Jonathon Watkins in "SOFTWARE" @ 01:00 PM
We’ve been sent details of a new? Task Manager for the PPC by BakiSoft: "The Pocket PC 2003 is a great tool for many things beyond basic PDA functionality. It is a true computer with surprising speed and capabilities, the limits of which are confined only to the imaginations of software developers and end users." Yes, I think we are aware at this site that you can use just a tiny bit more than PIM tools with a PPC.
"As Windows developers, as well as users, we were surprised that there was no Task Manager program included with the operating system. So we decided to create one. Task Manager PPC was developed with two purposes in mind. The first was to provide users with the capability of viewing running applications and processes with a friendly user interface. The second was to provide developers with a means to view current running state details for any process." So there you go. I can't seem to find a demo version though. The developer's website also looks like it could use a bit of TLC at the moment. All the links appear to be broken and the last update I can locate was last August……… :?
It is true that it would be great to have a real task manager included with PPCs as standard. Has anyone used this, or any other task manager for the PPC? Thoughts?
