Test Your Digital IQ
Posted by Jason Dunn in "OFF-TOPIC" @ 09:13 PM
We all like to take self-tests right? Well, this one is for geeks, because it measures your Digital IQ. Or it purports to - some of the questions are genuinely geeky, but others are just plain cheesy. And why did I lose points for buying my computer parts locally instead of online? Or opening attachments from people I don't know? It's not like I'm going to open a PIF of BAT file. And NOT having anti-virus software is the mark of a true geek - we protect ourselves with KNOWLEDGE rather than software. Sheesh.  But to prove that it's not terribly challenging, out of 81015 responses, 43% of people scored above 110. I scored a 194, and the person who made up the ranking matrix isn't a geek - because if they were, they'd know that "geeks" and "nerds" are not the same thing. Poor MSNBC. Next time, hire a geek to write your survey.
I'm feeling a bit smarmy tonight. Off to set up my ReplayTV and try to get it working in Canada even though it's not supposed to (speaking of which, if anyone who works for Shaw Cable is reading this, please contact me). Grrrr - I'm a GEEK baby!
