Jamdat Announces New Consumer-Friendly Pricing Plan
Posted by Jason Dunn in "NEWS" @ 07:26 PM
"JAMDAT Mobile, a global leader in wireless entertainment, today announced new, lower pricing several Pocket PC and Palm™ titles. The reductions reflect JAMDAT’s commitment to providing customers with high quality games at consumer-friendly prices. The price cuts range from twenty-five to seventy-five percent off, and are permanent. Some Smartphone and Symbian games have also been reduced.
“We are pleased to continue to engage new and existing customers through great game experiences and value-oriented pricing,”said Alex Thabet, VP of Business Development - Canada for JAMDAT Mobile. The new plan will further expand the demand for our offering, and help drive a highly successful year for our Pocket PC and Palm platforms.”
Highlights of the new pricing plan include:
• Full Hand Casino: $14.95 (Pocket PC & Palm) / $9.95 (Smartphone)
• Kasparov Chessmate: $19.95 (Pocket PC & Palm)
• Lemonade Tycoon: $14.95 (Palm)
• The Emperor’s Mahjong: $14.95 (Pocket PC & Palm)
• Tennis Addict: $19.95 (Pocket PC) / $14.95 (Palm) / $9.95 (Smartphone & Symbian)
In addition to the pricing changes, all of the games will now be marketed under the name JAMDAT, replacing the Hexacto brand. JAMDAT Mobile Inc. acquired Hexacto Games in May 2003. As a result of the acquisition, JAMDAT added Hexacto’s entire library of original and branded titles to its slate and integrated Hexacto’s Montreal-based development team into its global publishing business."
It's always nice to see prices drop, as long as the developers can stay in business and keep making great software.
