"Big Thinker" Giveaway Extravaganza! Over $2600 in Prizes!
Posted by Jason Dunn in "EVENT" @ 09:00 AM
In a couple of months (October), Pocket PC Thoughts turns three years old! It's amazing how far we've come as a site since then. What started out as a one-man Blogger site on shared Web host with a hundred visitors a day has turned into a 30 person team running a site hosted on a dedicated server with custom CMS software (the Thoughts Media Engine) and 26,000+ visitors per day visiting it. 8O
The reality though is that none of that growth would have been possible without the constant support of you, the reader. You're the ones who kept coming back every day (usually several times a day). You're the ones who have supported us through painful growth periods where nothing seemed to work properly. You're the ones who supported the advertisers who were supporting us, bought from our affiliate partners, and have recently been supporting us by subscribing to our enhanced services.
You, dear readers, are the "big thinkers" behind Pocket PC Thoughts. Your opinions, thoughts, and debates have helped shape the site that we have today, and I give you my deepest thanks for that. And so, along with a few of my favourite companies, I'd like to give back a little something extra. Consider it an early three-year anniversary present from me to you. Some of these prizes are brand new, purchased by myself for this contest, some are brand new and donated by the vendor, and some have been used for review purposes, but are otherwise in perfect condition.
So what's up for grabs? Click on the picture below for a partial showing of the prizes:

So, all told, that's just under $2700 USD in prizes! We'll be drawing one type of prize a week over the next 15 weeks. The first drawing will be held in two weeks, on Friday September the 12th. How can you win one of these prizes? Read on.
The contest rules are simple: if you're a subscriber, you're automatically enrolled in every prize draw we're having. You don't need to do anything special.
If you're not a subscriber, please mail or drop off a postcard depicting a scene/attraction/something from your home town to:
Jason Dunn
45 Tuscany Springs Circle NW

On this postcard, be sure to include the Web site where you saw the prize (Pocket PC Thoughts), the prize you want to be in the drawing for, along with your valid return email address, and the answer to this mathematical equation: 4 + 81 x (20 / 4). If you're entering multiple contests, you'll need to send in one postcard per contest - each postcard must state the name of the prize you're trying to win. Entries missing any of the above information will be excluded from the drawing, although we'll keep your postcard if it looks nice and hang it on our wall. :-)
A random drawing will be held from a pool consisting of all the postcard entries and the subscriber entries. Because the first drawing is in two weeks, international non-subscribers should start sending in their postcards immediately. Prizes will be drawn in the order listed, one per week starting two weeks from now.
